Bushnell Center for the Performing
Arts

The
Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts is Connecticut’s premier performing
arts center, hosting more than 450 events yearly, including major Broadway
tours, dance performances, symphony orchestras, family presentations, local
arts and community events. In November 2001, The Bushnell completed a $45
million expansion project that added a second, 907-seat theater to the
existing historic structure. The new, state-of-the-art performance hall
allows for expanded arts, entertainment and
community offerings. The
Bushnell opened in January 1930 and is a non-profit

Charter Oak Cultural Center
(Hartford, CT)
Charter Oak Cultural Center, housed in
Connecticut's oldest synagogue
building, is a non-profit, multi-cultural arts center
committed to
preserving the Jewish Heritage of our building, giving
access to the
arts to all people and doing the work of social
justice. Dance is an
important part of our programming which includes
performances by
established and emerging artists and dance education
for young
people.

Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts - Theater of the
Performing Arts
(Hartford, CT)
A program of the Capitol Region Education Council,
opened in January
2001 as part of the Learning Corridor, a neighborhood
revitalization
project in the south end of Hartford. The Theater
houses a 600 seat
state-of-the-art proscenium stage and a 125 seat
flexible Black Box
theater. The facility includes two lobbies, classrooms,
a scene shop, a
costume shop and dressing rooms.

Trinity College - Austin Arts Center
The
Austin Arts Center is located on the Trinity College campus in Hartford, and
presents an eclectic and lively mix of dance, music, theater and visual
arts. Over 40 public events are presented from September through April;
dance highlights include the monthly Studio
47 Dance series and semiannual dance concerts featuring guest artists,
faculty
and students.
